Renova Inc had a ceremony to celebrate the completion of a mega (large-scale) solar power plant with an output of about 21.6MW in Yokkaichi City, Mie Prefecture, Japan, April 19, 2019.

For the plant, "Yokkaichi Solar Power Plant," 21.645MW of solar panels and 13.486MW of PV inverters were installed on about 68ha of idled land owned by Nagoya Railroad Co Ltd.

The plant is expected to generate about 24,300,000kWh of electricity, which is equivalent to the amount consumed by 5,000 households, per year. Electricity generated at the plant is sold to Chubu Electric Power Co Inc at a price of ¥36/kWh based on the feed-in tariff (FIT) scheme.
