Renova Inc built a solar power plant with a total solar panel output of 19.2MW and a grid capacity of 12MW in Nasukarasuyama City, Tochigi Prefecture, Japan, and started commercial operation of the plant May 1, 2019.

The plant, "Nasukarasuyama Solar Power Plant," is expected to generate about 21,000,000kWh of electricity, which is equivalent to the amount consumed by 6,000 households, per year. The FIT tariff set for the plant is ¥36/kWh.

Renova rented about 41.5ha of land, mountain forest, etc owned by an educational corporation, business and so forth, conducted an environmental impact assessment and obtained a permission to develop forestland.
