JAG Energy Completes 16.6MW Solar Plant in Tochigi

JAG Energy Co Ltd (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo), which is affiliated with Japan Asia Group Ltd, announced May 10, 2019, that it has built a mega (large-scale) solar power plant in Sano City, Tochigi Prefecture, Japan, and had a ceremony to celebrate the completion of the plant.

For the plant, "Sano Solar Way," 16.6MW of solar panels were installed on about 180ha of land that was formerly used as a golf course. The plant is expected to generate 18,793,500kWh of electricity, which is equivalent to the amount consumed by 5,220 households, per year. All the electricity generated is sold to TEPCO Energy Partner Inc (Minato-ku, Tokyo).
