Takara Leben Fires Up 11MW Solar Plant in Hiroshima

Takara Leben Co Ltd built a solar power plant with an output of 11.2167MW in Mihara City, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan, and had a ceremony to celebrate the completion of the plant May 15, 2019.

The plant, "LS Hiroshima Mihara Power Plant," features high disaster prevention capability. It has three balancing reservoirs for disaster prevention and contributed to preventing flood damages in the region at the time of the 2018 Japan floods, which occurred in July 2018.

On the site of a former orchard, 40,788 solar panels were installed. The plant is expected to generate 11,734,000kWh of electricity per year. The FIT tariff set for the plant is ¥36/kWh.
