SB Energy Sets Up 2 Mega Solar Plants in Tochigi, Hokkaido

SB Energy Corp announced May 15, 2019, that it has started to build two mega (large-scale) solar power plants in Motegi-machi, Tochigi Prefecture, and Tomakomai City, Hokkaido, Japan.

The plant in Tochigi Prefecture will have a solar panel capacity of about 2.0MW and a grid capacity of about 1.5MW. The FIT tariff set for the plant is ¥32/kWh. It is scheduled to begin operation in November 2019.

The plant in Hokkaido will have a solar panel capacity of about 3.1MW and a grid capacity of about 2.0MW. The FIT tariff set for the plant is ¥18/kWh. It is scheduled to begin operation in December 2019.

SB Energy (Minato-ku Tokyo) is a company that is affiliated with the Softbank group and runs a renewable energy-related business, etc.
