Subaru to Install 1MW Rooftop Solar Plant at Its Facility in Gunma

Subaru Corp announced May 29, 2019, that it will begin a new effort to reduce CO2 emissions.

Specifically, Subaru will reduce about 20,000t of CO2, which is about 3% of the amount of CO2 emitted by the company, per year by fiscal 2020.

NTT Facilities Inc will rent the roof of the Kanto Delivery/Maintenance Center of Subaru Accessory Center in Oizumi-machi, Gunma Prefecture, Japan, and install "F Green Ota Solar Power Plant." The plant is scheduled to be completed in fiscal 2019.

The total solar panel capacity of the plant will be 1,019.16kW. Electricity generated at the plant will be consumed by the Kanto Delivery/Maintenance Center.
