Ichigo Inc built a floating solar power plant with an output of about 2.86MW in Sennan City, Osaka Prefecture, Japan, and started power generation July 4, 2019.

For the plant, 7,840 solar panels were set up on the surface of an agricultural reservoir (area: 33,575m2). The plant is expected to generate 3,462,000kWh of electricity, which is equivalent to the amount consumed by 960 households, per year.

The solar panel and PV inverter employed for the plant are products of JA Solar Co Ltd and Huawei Technologies Co Ltd, respectively. JFE Plant Engineering Co Ltd provided construction services.
