Renova Completes 19MW Solar Plant in Tochigi

Renova Inc built a solar power plant with an output of about 19MW in Nasukarasuyama City, Tochigi Prefecture, Japan, and had a ceremony to celebrate the completion of the plant July 8, 2019.

Renova rented about 41.5ha of land including land and mountain forest owned by incorporated schools and corporations. The total solar panel capacity and grid capacity of the plant, "Nasukarasuyama Solar Power Plant," are 19.2MW and 12MW, respectively.

The plant is expected to generate about 21,000,000kWh of electricity, which is equivalent to the amount consumed by 6,000 households, per year. The FIT tariff set for the plant is ¥36/kWh.
