JXTG Invests in Solar Sharing Startup

JXTG Holdings Inc announced Aug 20, 2019, that it has invested in a venture firm that runs a solar sharing (agricultural solar power plant) business through third-party allocation of shares.

This time, JXTG Holdings invested about ¥5 million in Agritree Co Ltd (Nakagawa City, Fukuoka Prefecture). The investment ratio of JXTG Holdings was not disclosed.

Agritree was founded in 2017. It engaged in a self-consumption-type solar sharing project in Huis Ten Bosch (a theme park in Sasebo City, Nagasaki Prefecture).
