Daiwa Energy Starts Up 1.6MW Solar Plant in Gunma

The Hinode Green Power No 1 Solar Power Plant (source: Daiwa Energy & Infrastructure)

Daiwa Energy & Infrastructure Co Ltd (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo), which is affiliated with the Daiwa Securities group, and CO2O Inc (Minato-ku, Tokyo) co-developed a 1.6MW solar power plant in Hinode-cho, Isesaki City, Gunma Prefecture, Japan, and started commercial operation July 31, 2019.

The amount of electricity generated at the plant, "Hinode Green Power No 1 Solar Power Plant," is expected to be equivalent to the power consumption of about 565 households, which is about 50% of the households in Hinode-cho.

The solar panel and PV inverter employed for the plant are products of JinkoSolar Holding Co Ltd and Sanken Electric Co Ltd, respectively. The FIT tariff set for the plant is ¥18/kWh.
