Tsugaru Wind Power Generation (Hitachi City, Ibaraki Prefecture), which is affiliated with Hitachi Capital Corp, announced July 31, 2019, that it has built a 34.5MW wind power plant in Goshogawara City and Nakadomari-machi, Aomori Prefecture, Japan, and started operation of the plant July 1, 2019.

The plant, "Jyusanko Wind Power Plant," is equipped with a storage battery having a capacity of about 22MWh and reduces the impact on the power grid.

The amount of electricity expected to be generated at the plant is equivalent to the power consumption of 24,000 households, reducing CO2 emissions by about 54,000t per year.
