SBI Energy, MUL Energy Start Up 7.5MW Wind Farm in Akita

SBI Energy Corp and MUL Energy Investment Co Ltd built a wind farm with an output of about 7.5MW in Mitane-cho, Akita Prefecture, Japan.

MUL Energy Investment (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) is a subsidiary of Mitsubishi UFJ Lease & Finance Co Ltd. The wind farm, "Softbank Akita Kotooka Wind Farm," started commercial operation Sept 1, 2019.

On about 37,000m2 of mountain forest, etc, three units of a 2.5MW-class wind turbine were set up. The wind farm is expected to generate about 17,330,000kWh of electricity, which is equivalent to the amount consumed by 4,800 households, per year. The FIT tariff set for the wind farm is ¥22/kWh.
