Renova Inc built a 48MW solar power plant in Karumai-machi, Iwate Prefecture, Japan, and started commercial operation of the plant July 1, 2019.

The plant, "Karumai Nishi Solar Power Plant," is expected to generate about 50,000,000kWh of electricity, which is equivalent to the amount consumed by 15,000 households, per year. The FIT tariff set for the plant is ¥36/kWh

For the plant, Renova employed crystalline silicon (Si) and compound semiconductor solar panels though the names of the manufacturers have not been disclosed yet. JGC Corp provided EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) services.
