Clean Earth (Minato-ku, Tokyo), a solar power producer, is moving forward with its plan to build a 26MW solar power plant in 119.4ha of mountain forest in Aoba-ku, Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan.

Clean Earth and the government of Sendai City concluded an agreement July 18, 2019, and announced its development project plan. Also, it disclosed an environmental assessment procedure Aug 16, 2019.

Though trees will be cut in the project, they will be used as substitute for fossil fuel, enabling to reduce about 16,800t of greenhouse gas per year, according to Clean Earth.
