Tess Engineering Co Ltd (Osaka City) built a solar power plant with a total solar panel capacity of about 30.2MW and a grid capacity of 22.5MW in Muroto City, Kochi Prefecture, Japan.

Tess Engineering started power generation at the plant, "Kochi Muroto Mega Solar Power Plant," Sept 1, 2019, and had a ceremony to celebrate the completion of the plant Sept 20, 2019.

In about 490,000m2 of mountain forest, 108,000 polycrystalline silicon solar panels were installed. The plant is expected to generate about 36,110,000 of electricity, which is equivalent to the amount consumed by 12,144 households, per year, eliminating about 18,056t of CO2.
