Fujikura Joins 'RE100,' Aiming to Realize 100% Renewable Energy Ratio by 2050

Fujikura Ltd announced Oct 7, 2019, that it has joined the "RE100" international initiative aimed at procuring electricity to be used for business activities with a renewable energy ratio of 100%.

Fujikura aims to increase renewable energy ratio to 90% by 2040 and 100% by 2050. The company established "Fujikura Group Long-term Environmental Vision 2050" in 2016.

Based on the vision, for Fujikura's headquarters building and R&D Center, the company introduced "Aqua Premium," the Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings group's price plan using renewable energy-derived electricity, Sept 1, 2018.
