Kunitomi-cho (a town in Miyazaki Prefecture) and Solar Frontier KK announced a project to introduce a solar power generation (PV) system that can be used as power sources in case of emergency such as typhoon and earthquake to shelters in the town Oct 23, 2019.

Solar Frontier has a solar panel factory in the town. They started to raise capital for the project through crowdfunding Oct 25, 2019.

The PV system combines a CIS-based solar panel (output: 100W) manufactured at Solar Frontier's Kunitomi Factory and Prime Star Co Ltd's portable rechargeable battery (capacity: 390Wh).
