Toshiba Mitsubishi-Electric Industrial Systems Corp (TMEIC) announced Dec 25, 2019, that it has received "Global Award" five years in a row from Frost & Sullivan, the US-based consulting firm.

TMEIC received the award in the Industrial Power Electronics category, in which corporate performance and technical strength are evaluated. Specifically, the company received the two highest awards: the "2019 Global Company of the Year Award" and "2019 Global Technology Leadership Award."

TMEIC won the award two years in a row in the Industrial Power Electronics category and three years in a row prior to that in the PV inverter category. In other words, the company received the Global Award for five consecutive years. But this is the first time that it has received the Technology Leadership Award.

Frost & Sullivan provides market research, analysis and consulting services on a global basis and organizes "Best Practice Award" every year for giving awards to companies that have showed outstanding performance in each industry based on its own researches. Recipients of the Best Practice Award are selected from each market (e.g. Asia Pacific, global, etc), and the Global Award is the highest award.

TMEIC received the Company of the Year Award because its business development with a focus on "PEiE (Power Electronics in Everything) Concept," which means that power electronics is utilized in every field, was highly evaluated.
