Fuji Electric Co Ltd announced Nov 7, 2019, that it has released an inverter suited for rooftop solar power generation (PV) facilities.

The PV inverter, "PIS-50/500-J (DC1100V/50kVA)," is the world's lightest-weight PV inverter with a capacity of 50-100kVA, according to the company.

Fuji Electric used aluminum for its casing and applied paint to it so that it can be installed even in heavy-salt-damage areas.

The input, rated output and rated voltage of the PV inverter are direct-current (DC) 1,100V, 50kVA and alternating-current (AC) 50V. It has a conversion efficiency of 99%, measures 930 (W) x 260 (D) x 540mm (H) and weighs 58kg.
