Next Energy & Resources Co Ltd (Komagane City, Nagano Prefecture) announced a monocrystalline silicon (Si) solar panel that uses "half-cut" cells and PERC (passive emitter rear cell) technology and realizes a conversion efficiency higher than 20% Dec 13, 2019.

Next Energy & Resources released the solar panel Dec 16, 2019. This time, the company improved conversion efficiency by splitting PERC cell in two and connecting them by using nine interconnectors to reduce internal resistance at the time of conducting electricity and loss caused by heat generation as much as possible.
