Vena Energy Starts Up 18MW Solar Plant in Aomori

Vena Energy, a Singapore-based independent renewable energy producer, announced Dec 2, 2019, that it has fully started commercial operation of an 18MW solar power plant in Towada City, Aomori Prefecture, Japan, in November 2019.

For the mega (large-scale) solar power plant, "Towada Solar Power Plant," 46,424 solar panels were set up on 28.53ha of land. The plant is expected to generate 19,704MWh of electricity, which is equivalent to the amount consumed by 3,735 households, per year, eliminating 10,857t of greenhouse gas.
