Toshiba Energy Systems & Solutions Corp (Kawasaki City) announced Dec 23, 2019, that it has delivered carbon-dioxide (CO2) separation/collection test equipment to Asahi Quality & Innovations Ltd (AQI, Moriya City, Ibaraki Prefecture) for CCU (carbon capture and utilization).

AQI is a subsidiary of Asahi Group Holdings Ltd.

The CO2 separation/collection equipment of Toshiba Energy Systems & Solutions uses a post-combustion collection technology based on the chemical absorption method. It can be applied to various kinds of exhaust gases, and it enables to set a desired scale of CO2 collection.
