Sekisui Chemical to Introduce Self-consumption-type PV Systems to Its Factories

Sekisui Chemical Co Ltd announced Jan 31, 2020, that it will introduce 3.287MW of self-consumption-type solar power generation (PV) facilities to four of the eight factories of the Sekisui Chemical group in Japan.

They will provide about 3,100MWh of electricity, which is about 37% of the annual power consumption of the four factories, and are expected to eliminate about 1,720t of greenhouse gas and about ¥43 million of electricity cost.

Until February 3, 2020, 725kW, 636kW and 820kW of PV systems started operation at Tohoku Sekisui Heim Industry Co Ltd, Sekisui Heim Chushikoku Co Ltd and Kyushu Sekisui Heim Industry Co Ltd, respectively.
