NTT Facilities Inc (Minato-ku, Tokyo) built a mega (large-scale) solar power plant in Higashihiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan, and had a ceremony to celebrate the completion of the plant Feb 4, 2019.

At the plant, "F Shiwa Solar Power Plant," solar panels were set up in the east-west direction. As a result, total solar panel capacity and the expected annual amount of power generation were increased by about 23% and about 18%, respectively, compared with conventional construction methods.

The total solar panel capacity of the plant is 2.83176MW. The plant is expected to generate about 2,831MWh of electricity, which is equivalent to the amount consumed by 1,080 households, per year.
