Green Lab concluded a "biomass resource utilization agreement" with Saga City (Saga Prefecture, Japan) March 12, 2019.

Green Lab (Fukuoka City) is a company affiliated with Green River Holdings, which promotes IoT-based agriculture. Green Lab and the city aim to create a new industry by using "3D high-density cultivation" as well as exhaust heat and CO2 emitted from a waste incineration plant in the city.

This time, Saga City will build a plant factory using locally-produced biomass. Specifically, it expects to produce about 60t of basil per year.
