Ricoh Japan Corp announced March 13, 2019, that it has achieved a net energy saving of more than 75% for the new office building of its Gifu Branch and obtained a third-party certification of "Nearly ZEB" defined by the Building-housing Energy-efficiency Labeling System (BELS).

For the new building, Ricoh Japan installed a solar power generation (PV) system and storage battery and introduced an electric vehicle. They can be used as emergency power sources for BCP (business continuity plan) at the time of disaster.

The total output of solar panels is 35kW, and the capacity of the storage battery is 33.6kWh.
