Pacifico Energy KK (Minato-ku, Tokyo) is planning to build an offshore wind power plant with an output of up to 750MW off the coast of the western part of Wakayama Prefecture, Japan.

Specifically, the company plans to install up to 150 large-size wind turbines with a rated output of 5-12MW each off the coasts of Gobo City, Hidaka-cho and Mihama-cho in Wakayama Prefecture. The plant will use large-scale wind power generation facilities anchored to the seabed. It is expected to start operation in or after 2025.
